While Kratos and the various creatures and bosses all look great. It is really the different locations that I feel make God of War 2 stand above its already mighty predecessor. From areas filled with lava, snow and dark dingy areas. You go through so many varied locations that things never get boring. The CG cutscenes in this game are just gorgeous and not only do they get you very invested in the story. They have been given the same kind of polish that the game graphics have and as a result, it makes the whole experience far grander than it was on the PS2.
The gameplay of God of War 2 is even more brutal than the first. It plays just like the first game and once again the Blades of Chaos are your main weapons. Many other weapons and spells can be learned and they can all be upgraded as you play. For me though, the Blades of Chaos are the most fun to use and what I associate most with Kratos. The gameplay is a lot of fun and is very heavily action-based.
No matter how many fights you get into the combat is so satisfying that it never once feels old.

He is definitely a big help, and I pretty much spam his arrows all the time. You also have the ability to use rage, in which Kratos is pretty much invulnerable and you will fight using your fists and deal a lot of damage. The rage meter fills up as you are fighting.
Camera angles are not as before, they are now zoomed way more and fights are slower in general. As you progress through the main story you will be able to access a few of the nine realms in Norse mythology. Most of the time you will spend in Midgard the realm of men. Side quests were pretty boring, so I just did them for completion.

Even though it is characterised with certain drawbacks such as not having enough platforms to be played on and having just one player mode, it still has enough traits that would be enough for a gamer to indulge in the video game.
